Privacy Notice

How this website handles your information

Last updated October 2026

UMuseUs is being rebuilt and isn't open to the public yet. This notice covers only this temporary website — what it collects while you visit, sign up for early access, or ask for company information. It is not the privacy policy for the UMuseUs platform, which isn't operating.

What we collect

  • If you sign up for early access:your email address, the date and wording of the consent you gave, whether you've confirmed your address or unsubscribed, and — only if you choose to answer — what you're joining as (for example artist, fan or venue).
  • If you ask for company information:your name, work email, organization (optional), and the reason you're getting in touch.
  • When you visit: which page you viewed; the website you came from and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source); your country (derived from your IP address at the moment of the request); and a broad device type (phone, tablet or desktop). We may also collect basic interaction information, such as whether you use media features on the page.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, location, date of birth, or social accounts when you sign up for early access.

How we count visitors — and what we don't do

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. To count visits without identifying you, our server combines your IP address and browser details with a secret that changes every day, and keeps only the resulting scrambled value. Your IP address itself is not stored. Because the value changes daily, it can tell us how many visits happened on a day, but it cannot follow you from one day to the next.

We don't use advertising trackers, session recordings, or fingerprinting, and we don't build advertising profiles. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't record your visit.

Why we use it

  • To confirm your address, and to email you when UMuseUs opens, plus occasional pre-launch updates. Every message has an unsubscribe link.
  • To reply to people who ask for company information.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how many people visit and sign up and where they come from.
  • To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.

We don't sell your information

We don't sell or rent your email address or anything else on this site, and we don't share it for advertising.

Who handles it for us

  • Vercel — hosts this website and provides a privacy-friendly visit counter that uses no cookies.
  • Neon — the database that holds sign-ups, inquiries and visit counts.
  • Resend — sends our confirmation and update emails.

These providers process information on our behalf, and some are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred there.

How long we keep it

  • Early-access sign-ups: until twelve months after UMuseUs opens, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe we keep your address on a do-not-email record so we honour your choice.
  • Company-information requests: up to 24 months.
  • Visit counts: up to 24 months. They contain no email address and no IP address.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop hearing from us. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to support@umuseus.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, and we will honour them.

Children

This website is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, tell us at support@umuseus.comand we'll delete it.
